About
Carmen Epona Lake works as an office administrator by day, novelist by night, and Super Mom pretty much 24/7. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Business Administration. She spent some time as a horse trainer and horseback riding instructor. In addition to a lifelong passion for animals and equestrian sport, Carmen has been vegan for over ten years. Carmen’s thirteen years of Catholic school inspired her interests in Latin, ancient Greek, science, theology, and drama.
Carmen lives in southern California with her two young children, two cats, and a horse. Her family came to the United States from Italy and Ecuador, sharing their inspiring experiences of immigration and starting over. She also has aphantasia- the inability to visualize imagery. Carmen’s mind works like a computer, allowing her to focus on details, themes, and intricate story outlines.
